Education

Ages 10 to 11

Family Studies/Home Economics - Consumer Awareness
Social Studies - Environmental Challenges

This film creatively examines awareness of our carbon footprint. What are the impacts of our consumption of forest resources? Do the students know what the carbon footprint is? How is it calculated? Have them find tools on the Web for determining which of our everyday actions contribute to the destruction of a resource that is vital to our living environment, and then explore and apply short-term solutions.
