Study Guide
Pre-viewing, ask students to think about social class, and moments in history and fiction when categorization was used to dismiss human rights. Why are segregated groups formed (gangs, schools, athletic clubs…)? Should these groups be exclusive? Prepare students for the film by explaining the caste differences between the two main characters. Have students write about a moment in their lives when they experienced discrimination as a witness or a victim, or engaged in it themselves.
