Métis voices across generations reclaim stories once silenced, in an animated documentary where personal journeys become part of a collective cultural resurgence.
For generations, many Métis people were encouraged to conceal their identity, language and traditions. Through intimate testimonies brought to life with intricate stop-motion beadwork animation, Where Our Flowers Grow follows individuals reconnecting with their heritage and reclaiming what was nearly lost. Together, their stories reveal a living culture defined not by erasure, but by resilience, renewal and the strength of community across generations.
