Saga City

| 16 min

This animated short tackles the twin issues of urban planning and climate change. Set in the imaginary city of Colvert, the film highlights the fact that the way a community is shaped and organized is an important factor in determining its energy consumption, and thus the quantity of greenhouse gases it releases into the atmosphere. Saga City is narrated by Colm Feore and directed by Luc Chamberland.

I can't believe my tax dollars are being spent on garbage propaganda like this. The mayor and her city administrator are going to ride bicycles?! And the narrator has the gall to say that what is occurring in this film isn't a fairy tale. Yeah, right.

This little film packs a friendly punch! Every kid in every North American suburb should have to watch this animation. Lucky for us, our town already seems to be implementing some of these tactics. Thank you for making the convoluted process of politics and environmental protection palatable and positive.
