This short documentary is about Michelle Duff (then known as Mike Duff), a Canadian motorcycle racer, and the sport that almost killed her. After a near-fatal crash in Japan and extensive surgery and therapy, Duff returned to racing to claim two victories in Canadian races. Though the sport takes its toll on the lives of her friends and fellow competitors annually, the racer explains she can’t give up just yet – not before winning a world championship.

I'm currently reading the book, "Make Haste Slowly, The Mike Duff Story" by Michelle Duff. Just got to the part where he describes his accident, treatment in Japan, surgery in Toronto and the Dutch TT race fimed for this documentary. The NFB film was mentioned and I searched it out. Great read for the fans of the sport back in the 60's. Found the book on Amazon.ca.

A lot of water under the bridge since this was shot. I was there as a kid and continue to ride.though my racing days are over. Mike always seemed bigger thanlife from the side line, but obviously was rising to many challernges. It would be a great follow to see him...and now her....and his ex and kids to know how they all got on with their lives. And that there was interest in 125 cc bikes. Small displacement bikes are becoming popular again. Thks NFB for the memories. Also enjoyed Daredevil at Morrisburg.
