Real-world cityscapes transform into dreamlike landscapes in this inventive, animated documentary exploring the politics of urban design. Contrasting a city driven by cars, productivity and individualism with one centred on connection, accessibility and shared public life, RE/ROUTE challenges the assumptions embedded in our built environments. As familiar streets evolve before our eyes, the film invites us to imagine more equitable, joyful and sustainable futures.
