Fables and stories help us to understand and enjoy the world around us. How do stories help keep King Balthasar from being “bored to death”? Each character in the film has a story; ask the students to identify their favourites and to create a short comic strip based on their choice. Have students discuss how they decided what to include in their comic and consider as a class the ways in which we are always editing and reshaping the stories that surround us.
