Together they pause to show us East of the Rockies, an augmented-reality narrative set in the Slocan Japanese internment camp of WWII and told from the perspective of a 17-year-old girl.

"Most kids are discouraged from drawing on the walls. Not animator Regina Pessoa!

Following her uncle Thomas’ lead, Pessoa learned to draw with charcoals on the walls of her family home in Portugal. In her latest short, she pays tribute to these memories."
