Court métrage de fiction racontant l’histoire de Jean Cabot, un aventurier de la Renaissance. Il demande à Henri VII la permission d'aller explorer la mer et accuse un refus. Mais bientôt l'Espagne annonce la découverte d’une nouvelle terre par Christophe Colomb. Henri VII, mettant un terme à l'impatience de Cabot, lui confie la mission de faire voile vers les Indes.
