Students will learn about Canada’s role in the air war and the development of better bombing technology and techniques. Students will compare the role of women in WWII with women in Canada’s military today. Discuss whether gender equality has been achieved, as well as the impact of this on society. Work in groups to research the daily lives of women in one of the belligerent countries. Students will also examine popular culture during the war.
