Education

Ages 6 to 7
School subjects
Ask students to study song structure (verse, chorus); invent verses that name the various parts of a bird’s body; write new lyrics to the tune of “Alouette,” but describing a different animal; gradually draw the bird as the verses of the song describe it; make word labels using the song’s vocabulary and create a mobile combining the drawings and labels.
