Despite an ingrained pride in multiculturalism, one’s ancestral roots and allegiances are often contentious when addressing issues regarding Canadian identity. Since Canada is comprised of many cultural groups, how does this practice strengthen our sense of nationhood? Or does this weaken our sense of who we are?
