Education

Ages 8 to 11
School subjects
Students can ask media literacy questions: how is the film drawn and developed to appeal to the audience and reinforce the message? Ask students to evaluate the film’s effectiveness in communicating its purpose. Students list each safety rule suggested by the film, according to each sport/activity, and evaluate their own and others’ awareness. Have students storyboard a five-minute animation that focuses on a safety issue not included in the film, using a female protagonist.
