Zlatko Bourek

Born in Zagreb in 1923, Zlatko Bourek worked on dozens of animated films as a set painter, designer and director between 1956 and 2015. As director, he is credited for nine films, including Dancing Songs (1966), Schooling (1970) and Wiener Blut (2015), and he also painted backgrounds for the cult animated TV series Professor Balthazar (1967–1978). Bourek directed the short film Love Story (00:26:07–00:28:53) for the NFB and Zagreb Film’s omnibus work Man the Polluter.
