During World War Two, Philadelphia-based animator Philip Ragan was contracted by the NFB to create a series of animated shorts. Providing explanations on how the public could participate in the war effort and how the economy was being affected by the war, the short films he created are great examples of animation that uses simple drawings to convey a clear message.
