The Sacred Fire is an important spiritual ceremony that provides participants with a moment of reflection, contemplation, and peace. How has the filmmaker symbolized the elements (i.e. four directions, sharing, blessings, elders, etc.) associated with this ceremony? Show how other elements of First Nations history are integrated into this film: residential schools, traditional lifestyles versus urban life, youth identity? Explore how sight and vision receive emphasis as important yet distinct elements in the film.
