• history of the wheel (solid roller, three-board, stone, semi-solid, spoked);
• applications of the wheel (waterwheel, steam engine);
• the wheel in transportation (chariot, stagecoach, hansom cab, farm machines, bicycle, automobile);
• geared wheels (in bicycles, doorknobs, cranes, timepieces).
