“Sébastien serves as an inspiration for me, though I am female myself. I see him leaving his house everyday and braving the crowds wearing what he likes, and I feel more inspired to do so myself. It truly amazes me, how the internet has opened doors for people who like to dress ‘differently’. I was so scared to step out of the house in lolita fashion, and now I have been to a few meet-ups. It’s been much easier to get dolled up and go out when you have met people who are like minded in your area. I feel truly blessed to be part of an accepting community, possibly for the first time. I am also blessed to have not only my mother’s approval, but also her interest. This does make it a sight easier to go out in the fashion I choose. So thank you, Sébastien, for sharing a little of your world with us, Merci ! ” — OllieMarie, 9 May 2011
