All of the drummers featured in A Drummer’s Dream emphasize that there is no secret to their success. They all had to practise for long hours and work their way to the top. How is this approach different from what we see in reality shows like American Idol or The Voice? Do these shows prepare their contestants for a career in music? Ask students to create a mind map that connects the drummers featured in the movie to the bands that they have played with. Have the students been introduced to new music?
