Bisou sauvage is a 1-2 minute film made using 2D animation. The film is a cynical take on the political dissonance of our time, and the absurdity of continuing with normal life as people are massacred every day on the other side of the globe. We watch a couple seamlessly go through their every day routine, savoring their fleeting pleasures, in a world riddled with death, crises, and contraditctions. As they proceed with their lives, they also watch people in distant areas of the world lose their lives and homes, and reconcile this witnessing with their sheltered existence as they navigate their own boredom, hunger, etc. The film emanates from an enduring frustration vis-a-vis the relentless violence unfolding in the world.
