“Amateur historian of 1st & 2nd World Wars. Rise of Germany. Wrong turn by Britain (appeasement). Churchill knew what was coming. No one listened to his warnings. Hitler could have been stopped cold before Germany had fully rearmed. No one wanted war, but if Churchill was in power at that time, he would have garnered all the necessary support needed (U.S., Canada, Australia, etc.) & literally crush Hitler & his Nazi regime during birth. Hitler was not prepared for war in early stages. It would have been over relatively quickly with Allied support. Churchill was a master of diplomacy. Of course, this is: what if?” — Ellis, 31 Oct 2011
