Etuaptmumk (Two-Eyed Seeing): Invite your students to explore different ways of knowing.

Etuaptmumk (Two-Eyed Seeing) is a collection for secondary students developed in collaboration with Mi’kmaw partners and the Nova Scotia Department of Education. It brings together three videos and an action project that show how Indigenous knowledge and Western science can be combined to deepen our understanding of the natural world. Next, your students can use the Take Action toolkit to imagine and plan an environmental initiative in their own community.

Important notice: Using the NFB’s digital platforms for educational purposes

An Education or Institutional licence is required for the exhibition of NFB films that are hosted on our online platform and for the use of NFB teacher resources in institutions including, but not limited to schools, CEGEP’s, colleges, universities, libraries, museums, galleries, and government agencies.

Education licences apply to any planned screenings of NFB films that our hosted on our online platforms, where the purpose is to facilitate learning outcomes for students or audiences. This includes the right to conduct screenings of NFB Films outside of the classroom (also known as Public Performance Rights) but where the screening remains affiliated with the institution.

By using NFB digital platforms and resources, you agree to comply with the applicable terms and conditions outlined in our Terms of Use or, where applicable, with the terms and conditions in licence agreements negotiated by an institution or consortium.
