The NFB Mediatheque offers week-long animation camps during March Break and throughout the summer months, for burgeoning animators ages 8 and up. Campers learn about the filmmaking process and explore a variety of animation techniques including pixillation, clay animation and scratching on 35 mm film. They then work in teams to create their own original animated films, and the week culminates in a BIG SCREEN premiere for family and friends at the NFB Cinema. These dynamic, hands-on sessions offer campers a unique chance to learn stop-motion animation techniques while providing them with unlimited opportunities to explore their creativity. A selection of the films created at NFB Mediatheque camps are presented here for your enjoyment.
