Theodore Ushev

, a former poster artist from Bulgaria, settled in Montreal in 1999 and quickly acquired a reputation as a prolific and talented animator with films such as The Man Who Waited (2006) and Tzaritza (2006).

In 2006, he began work on an acclaimed trilogy on the relationship between art and power: Tower Bawher (2006), Drux Flux (2008) and his most recent work, Gloria Victoria (2013). During this time, he simultaneously made a number of other short films, including Lipsett Diaries (2010), the award-winning Nightingales in December (2011), and Apart (2012).
