The story is enacted by Inuit using katadjak or throatsinging. The audience is locked in an alien world of sights and sounds where human activity seems propulsed by primeval forces.

The teacher selects a two- to three-minute sequence from the film and screens it for the students without sound. Then, s/he plays the clip with both picture and sound, and asks students to guess how the sound that they hear was made. They then do research on throat singing to learn its origins, mechanism and meaning.
