Education

Ages 9 to 11

Arts Education - Dance
Health/Personal Development - Fitness/Physical Activities

Young people often think of dance as something only appropriate for girls. It would be interesting to create simple choreographies for students in a physical education class and, in this way, let them discover modern dance. If combined with an acting course, the activity could be created as a drama exercise which would show the class that it’s possible to express oneself, even without words. Students could choose an emotion and express it through a dynamic choreography in which movements show the feeling.
