The NFB has been a trusted source of educational resources for over 70 years – and its productions are now used over 14 million times every year in classroom settings. These resources are now more accessible than ever.
Educators who subscribe to CAMPUS get access to over 3,000 productions — documentaries, animations, feature films and interactive titles — and a vast bank of teaching resources.
Available across a range of platforms, CAMPUS can be used in a broad range of educational settings – classrooms and homes, libraries and resource centres, workplaces and boardrooms.
Users can search the collection by grade level and subject area, making it easy to quickly identify suitable films and resources. Useful educational descriptions, written by Canadian educators, are supplied with all films.
Campus allows users to create their own chapters, playlists and film descriptions—all ready for easy playback—making it easy to prepare lessons in advance.
These include documentaries, animated films, interactive productions and shorts – in English and in French.
CAMPUS subscribers enjoy exclusive access to over 600 NFB productions, including the latest releases from the NFB and best-selling educational titles.
New resources are added to CAMPUS every quarter — including topical new films like The People of Kattawapiskak River, Status Quo? The Unfinished Business of Feminism in Canada and Pink Ribbons, Inc.
Curated playlists and channels, arranged by theme, provide classroom-ready collections of films and clips. Topics range from War & Peace and Environment to Empathy Education and Stop Motion Animation.
Available by subject and film, educator guides provide context for NFB films and practical advice on exploring complex issues within the classroom.
Ideal for use with interactive whiteboards, the NFB’s award-winning interactive collection features inventive storytelling and new opportunities for action-based learning.
Updated quarterly, Marc Records facilitate easy and accurate searches within existing library search tools. IP authentication services allow for institution-wide screening of NFB content.
Get the most out of CAMPUS by participating in webinars with NFB education specialists.
Including school boards, ministries of education, public libraries and government agencies, as well as private businesses and non-governmental agencies.
