From acclaimed filmmaker Charles Officer (Nurse.Fighter.Boy) comes Mighty Jerome, the story of the rise, fall and redemption of Harry Jerome, Canada’s most record-setting track and field star. Gorgeous monochrome imagery, impassioned interviews and astonishing archival footage are used to tell the compelling story of what Harry Jerome’s university coach, the legendary Bill Bowerman, called “the greatest comeback in track and field history.”
This playlist includes 8 clips from this feature-length documentary, which Row Three called “A must see.”
The film had its World Premiere at the Vancouver International Film Festival on October 8th, 2010 and will be playing at the 2011 Hot Docs Festival. Other dates will be announced soon.
