This film goes to Dresden, Ontario, to sample local attitudes towards racial discrimination against black people that brought this town into the news. After a round-up of the opinions of individual citizens, white and black, commentator Gordon Burwash joins two discussion panels, presenting opposite points of view. The rights and wrongs of the quarrel are left for the audience to decide.

This film is interesting because over quarter of a century after it was made, the same issues around racism and discrimination are still being discussed and dealt with in both Canada and the U.S. I liked it, though, because it's definitely of major historical interest regarding black Canadian history,

Could we please have captions available on this on-line video, to make this important historical information accessible for hard of hearing and Deaf citizens, and also because the sound quality has deteriorated in places. many thanks : )
